Design By Ben Sayers and
constructed by local teachers & doctors in 1906, We are one
of the oldest private members club in the old county of
Monmouthshire, now Blaenau Gwent. On completion of the full
18 holes, in 1909, we became affiliated to the Gwent Golf
Union to serve the communities of North Monmouthshire at the
head of the Western valley.
Although a relatively small
club, we have realized some remarkable achievements during

Robert
{ginger} Phillips not only held the course record for more than
a decade, held eight other course records for the surrounding
clubs.
Craig Evans, Welsh Golf Union junior champion in 1988, South
Wales leading amateur in 1994, 1998. Welsh international in
1994, qualified for the British Open in 1994
Spencer Clease Welsh international 1990.1st. Team division
winners 1981, 1989, 1991, 1996.
